Books from our Room 5 buddies

Our buddies in Room 5 have written us all a book.  They read them to us and we felt special as we are the characters in the books.  We  have been sharing them in class and are looking forward to bringing them home to show our families.

Police Dog Visit

On Friday we were lucky to have a visit from Policeman Luke and his tracker dog Titan.  Titan and Luke work together in our community to help keep us safe.  Luke showed us how Titan obeys commands and how he is able to to use his sense of smell to find people.
We all had a turn to pat Titan.  His fur felt lovely and soft.  Some of us were able to try on his police vest.  It is very heavy, especially when we tried to run with it on!

Zippity Zoo

Today we had a visit from the Zippity Zoo.  There was a miniature horse, a sheep, a goat, a rabbit, guinea pigs and hens.  We all patted the animals and some of us even were able to groom the horse.  Thank you FoNS, we loved the visit.
